It was surprising, to say the least, seeing her standing by her bed with a steaming mug. She was ordinarily so short, straight to business. She couldn’t get comfortable with the wings on her back, and her coughs kept jaring her awake just when she was on the brink of unconsciousness. Despite her exhaustion, she couldn’t get back to sleep. She attempted to help anyway, but after her second coughing fit while sitting in Laverna’s office helping her sort through some mail, Laverna abruptly took the letter she was holding from her hands.
